ROLLANT 620 round baler now also with feed rake system

Customers all around the world value CLAAS ROLLANT round balers for their versatility, ease of operation and consistently high quality of performance in all sorts of baling conditions.

As from the coming season, the ROLLANT 620 model series will also include an additional model with a feed rake system. The feed rake will enable the new round baler to deliver high throughput performance with low power input, and forage quality meeting the highest expectations.

The feed rake option is intended mainly for farms that use their own machinery, which regularly have to harvest dry hay and straw on difficult, uneven or sloping terrain. The ROLLANT 620 can be used to best effect to deliver remarkable throughput and bale density even with tractors with engine power ratings as low as just 80 hp. The ROLLANT 620 with feed rake system has a pickup with a working width of 1.85 m, and the bale chamber has a diameter of 1.50 m. The feed rakes pull the crop continuously from the pickup, and feed it to the bale chamber. This is an essential requirement for achieving high throughput even at modest tractor power outputs.

The harvested crop is also handled very gently, without cutting. This significantly reduces the formation of dust. The result is top-quality forage, as required for horse feed, for example.

Greater comfort through the OPERATOR system

The new ROLLANT 620 model is equipped with the proven CLAAS OPERATOR terminal, which makes the operation of the baler simple and transparent. With this terminal, the driver is able to keep an eye at all times on key machine parameters such as baling pressure and wrapping or tying. Information is also displayed on opening of the tailgate and the ramp position (up/down). If needed, a wrapping/tying start delay can also be set on the terminal, along with the preselection of net or twine. The OPERATOR also has an automatic daily and total bale counter. The new round baler now has the same slim-line drawbar as all other ROLLANT models, providing a clear view of the pickup. This enables the driver to monitor the crop flow at all times.

The ROLLANT 620 will be available with feed rake for the 2018 harvest.
