CLAAS Group to set up a second company in India

CLAAS, the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, announced today that the new company CLAAS Agricultural Machinery Private Limited came into effect from 1st October 2014. The announcement marks an important milestone in shaping the future trajectory of the company.

CLAAS in India manufactures the popular CROP TIGER range of combine harvesters in both track and wheel versions – the CROP TIGER 30 and CROP TIGER 40 are wheel mounted machines whereas CROP TIGER 30 TERRA TRAC and CROP TIGER 40 TERRA TRAC are track mounted machines. Some machines are also imported from overseas plants of CLAAS, namely MARKANT 55 Square Baler, walk-behind type PADDY PANTHER 14 and Ride-on type PADDY PANTHER 26 Rice Transplanter. The company also has 63 dealers that provide sales, service and parts support for machines in India and other SAARC countries.
