CLAAS (www.claas.com) is a family business founded in 1913 and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery. The company, with corporate headquarters in Harsewinkel, Germany, is the European market leader in combine harvesters. CLAAS is the world leader in another large product group, that of self-propelled forage harvesters. CLAAS in India manufactures the popular CROP TIGER range of combine harvesters in both track and wheel versions – the CROP TIGER 30 and CROP TIGER 40 are wheel mounted machines whereas CROP TIGER 30 TERRA TRAC and CROP TIGER 40 TERRA TRAC are track mounted machines. Some machines are also imported from overseas plants of CLAAS, namely MARKANT 55 Square Baler, walk-behind type PADDY PANTHER 14 and Ride-on type PADDY PANTHER 26 Rice Transplanter. The company also has 63 dealers that provide sales, service and parts support for machines in India and other SAARC countries.
